After a thorough analysis of the multiple issues that the common man faces on a day-to-day basis, we have finalized that the first version of the citizen’s handbook will explain the step-by-step procedures involved in obtaining the following:
- Driver’s License
- Voter’s ID
- Ration card
- Electricity Connection
- Certificates – Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Community Certificate, Nativity Certificate
- Registration of Land, House, Patta (Encumbrance Certificate)
- Telephone Connection
- Water/Sewage Connection
- Post Office (Money order)
- File police complaint – FIR
- Passport (including Police verification)
- LPG connection
- How to confirm a berth on the railways
- How to address issues with the public transportation system, for instance the bus driver not stopping the bus at assigned locations because it is too crowded etc. (and)
- Child labor
Budget:
After getting quotes from various printing and publishing companies in Chennai, the cost to print one book is estimated to be Rs.20.
Hence the cost of printing 25000 books = 25000 * 20 = 5 lakh Indian Rupees or $12,500.
